Inspired by the painting Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose by John Singer Sargent, I thought I would try my hand at depicting the magical time at sunset and sunrise when whites turn to lavender and purple, in contrast to the warm yellows and oranges of the sun.
About Mike Farrell
I'm mostly a self taught artist, the odd class here and there but mostly a lot of time at the drawing table or in front of a computer. I try and bring a sense of craft, intelligence(hopefully), and a bit of humor to my work. I also enjoy hiking, biking, cooking, reading, gardening, and generally hanging out with the missus and our cat and two dogs. And we usually have music playing in the background.
